Questions

Why not just use a freelancer?

Sometimes a freelancer is the right call, especially if you only need a few images and your team has already worked out the space. Where we earn our place is when the idea still has to be solved. We think through the layout, how people will move through it and what can realistically be built, then design it to real dimensions and stay with it until your fabricator has the drawings. The aim is simple: what your client signs off in the render is what they walk into on the day.

How quickly can you start?

We reply to every brief within one working day, and first renders follow within 48 hours. That works the same for a pitch or a project you’ve already won: the first round is for your team to react to before your client sees anything, so there’s still time to sharpen it. If your deadline is tighter than that, tell us in the brief. We’d rather be honest about what’s possible than promise something rushed.

We’ve already won the project. Can you help us deliver it?

Yes, and it’s where a lot of the real work is. The Experience Kit takes a won brief through to a full layout and visitor journey, and the Build Pack turns the approved design into the drawings, artwork and venue submissions your fabricator and printer produce from. If your team designed the pitch, we pick up from there and keep it faithful to what your client approved.

We don’t have a creative team. Can you be ours?

Yes. That’s what the monthly retainers are for. You get an experienced design team that knows how events are actually built, without recruiting or managing anyone. Over time we learn your templates, your clients’ brands and the way you like to work, so it feels like your own team, just outside your office.

We already have a concept. Can you work from it?

Of course, and a lot of good work starts that way. Send whatever you have, whether it’s a sketch, a moodboard or a few slides, and we’ll build it into a 3D model and key-view renders. Our job is to make your idea work at real scale and look its best in front of your client, not to replace it with ours. If we see something that won’t hold up once it’s built, we’ll tell you early and suggest a fix, and you decide.

What if the brief keeps changing?

It almost always does, and that’s fine. Because we design everything in one model at real dimensions, a change usually means adjusting what’s there rather than starting over. When a brief is still unclear, we’d rather propose a direction early and use the renders to give everyone something concrete to react to. It’s usually the quickest way to get a room to agree.

You’re a small studio. Can you take on a big job?

Yes, and being small is part of why it works. You deal directly with the person designing, so nothing gets lost in hand-offs. When a project needs more hands, we bring in specialists from a small bench of freelancers we’ve worked with and trust, and the same lead stays responsible for the whole thing. However many people are involved on your side, you get one point of contact and one consistent design.

Who do you work best with?

Agencies who care that what their client approves is what gets built: launches, brand events and exhibitions where the render, the drawings and the finished space all need to agree. We keep the number of projects we take on small, so each one gets proper attention from start to finish. If your event date is already set, it helps to reach out early, even if the brief is still rough.
